Lenore Zann, working hard for you in Cumberland–Colchester
A popular and hard-working representative for her community, Lenore Zann has served as the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Nova Scotia for the district of Truro-Bible Hill-Millbrook-Salmon River since 2009.
Elected three times, Lenore has served as Ministerial Assistant to the Deputy Premier and Deputy House Leader, as well holding numerous critic portfolios and committee roles.
Lenore has earned respect as a tireless advocate for Women including the #MeToo movement, speaking out against domestic and cyber abuse, gender-based violence, human trafficking, and inequality. Named a national spokesperson for the Canadian Association of Mental Illness and Mental Health in 2014, Lenore has become known for her openness, integrity, and empathy.
She is a champion for Arts & Culture; Education; Green Jobs; and all forms of Social, Economic, & Environmental Justice.
An award-winning actor, writer and producer with 33 years of experience in Film, TV, Radio, Animation, and Theatre, Lenore has a passion for mentoring the next generation of young artists - for which she received the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Lifetime Award for Service to Community and Country.
A loving daughter, sister, and proud aunt of three teenagers, Lenore lives in Truro with her family and two little dogs Ruby Dee & Aayla Secura.
